Welcome to Brit's International
Thanks for popping by to see our website, and what we're all about.
My name is Ray Caraher, and I started Brit's International on 2nd March 2005.
I never thought we would get that many to join the group, and certainly never dreamed we'd have a current membership of approximately 200 (March 2011).
Although the club is based in Kansas City, Missouri, we do have members outside of the area, so if you're looking to join us, and hear about all we do, but you're not in our area, you may still find fellow Brits, or Anglophiles in your area through us.
The club is open to not only British expats, but also Anglophiles, and those that are possibly wanting to learn more about our wee isle for maybe travel tips, or traditions etc...
We meet in the Kansas City area twice a month, or more at various locations. We meet for great laughs, and lively chats.
Our members age range from 25 to 70 and include Brits from all over the UK that are either new to the USA, or have been here for upto 40 years.
Meetings normally include spots for a curry, Fish'n'chips at a local pub, afternoon tea at British tearooms as well as various American tearooms around the metro area.
Parties have included a Bangers & Mash get together, and Guy Fawkes.
We've also had a few Car Boot sales, and are looking forward to a few more.

Once you become a member you don't have to wait for a club get together to meet other members.You will be given logins to enter much more of the website which includes a complete member's list page where you can read more about some members, and eiither email, or call them.
We encourage all members to type out a profile about themselves giving an idea of where you grew up, and how you came to be in the states, hobbies etc.. We feel these act as great ice-breakers for all members.
You will also find a phone directory of members that have chosen to have their phone numbers listed, so you can call if you prefer.
Memberships start at just $20 per year, and then up to $40 for those with businesses that would like to advertise with us. For that you will have your company logo with a direct link to your website linked from our home page.
